I finally gave in. For. Couple of years now I have witnessed the Elf phenomenon and wondered why.
If your still wondering it' s all about fun and the joy of Christmas. We need to learn to have a little more fun in our lives, a little more joy.
Now I will tell you a little secret my kids are not little,they range in age from 12 to 18. Still they seem to be enjoying the whole Elf thing.
You may be wondering what the Grinch has to do with all of this. I bought a girl Elf, I have both girls and boys, and was going to get the boy later but someone set the Grinch beside her and I had an 'ah ha' moment. (Yes all my ah ha moments are this profound.)
So instead of spending more money we have the elf and the Grinch doing stuff together. So far nothing amazing has happened, but I do see they are trying to make it to the top of the tree.
Definitely naughty!
