Hello my name is Cheryl and I am addicted to...

Annie Sloan Chalk paint!  I love this paint sooooo much I am always on the lookout for something new to paint.  This is my newest conquest.

I found this cute little sewing table in a Habitat for Humanity store.  It was a win, win.  I needed something to paint and I was supporting families in need.  What could be better?
I was really looking for something I could use as a bedside table because I was tired of the rubber tote and basket I had been using for a year.

If you have never used this paint you will be amazed at it's versatility.  With Annie Sloan Chalk paint there is no prep work.  No stripping, no sanding, no filling if you don't mind the chips and dents.  This paint spoke to my heart!  I hate prep work.  I am all about 'get in and getter done'!
For this piece I wanted something bright and cheery. Our bed is also painted in ASCP in a French Linen color and I wanted to contrast that with bright color.  I chose Provence.  And here it is!

Isn't she lovely?!

With Annie Sloan Chalk Paint you apply your paint, over any surface, and then apply a coat of clear wax.  That's all!  So simple.  On this peace, after the clear wax, I applied a dark wax.  This takes a little more finessing.  A dry brush is the key.  After the dark wax another coat of clear wax to seal it and it's done.
Well, what do you think?  Do you like re-purposing things?

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheryl
